A child is waiting: Upbeat D’Amarr happily goes with the flow

Fifteen-year-old D’Amarr loves the simple things in life.

“He is the best,” his worker warmly shares, “just a joy to be around. He’s so funny, so upbeat, so encouraging and helpful…he has so much love to give. He can find something enjoyable in any situation.

“He loves to be outdoors, playing football or basketball or going to the park – especially playing or engaging with others. He likes to watch baseball and loves watching superhero movies – or anything action-oriented – like the Avengers, especially the Hulk.

“He’s really adventurous,” his adoption worker says. “He tells me he’d like to go skydiving as well as ride a motorcycle!”

D’Amarr enjoys being at school.

“I like to learn,” he says, “and… I like the food!”

“Other food he really enjoys?” smiles his worker, “Wendy’s cheeseburgers and chicken nuggets!”

“D’Amarr likes pretty much any kind of music,” she continues, “and he’s always ready to sing along,” He makes car rides a lot of fun with his singing and, during a ride, he points out classic cars and interesting buildings and architecture features. He makes everything fun. He brings a lot of joy to life.”

D’Amarr’s worker states that he would flourish in a variety of family types. He gets along with all children, so he would do well as a sibling or as an only child. He does like animals, especially cats and small dogs, so a pet would be an additional benefit for him.

“He just needs a family that appreciates him and likes to have a good time with him and who will also continue to advocate for the services that are helping him to thrive.

“D’Amarr is pretty happy-go-lucky and is usually smiling and in a good mood…just going about day-to-day things.. D’Amarr is a young man with so much untapped potential. He is a diamond in-the-rough that needs a loving family to help shine him up and help him reach his full potential. He is a happy, mannered young man who loves life.

“He doesn’t hold any bitterness or resentment, despite what he’s been through. He’s always in-the-moment and upbeat and encouraging to everyone, hoping for a forever family that appreciates him and what he has to offer.”
